- FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION
HERE'S SOME COMMON QUESTIONS WE GET
What exactly is ceramic coating?
Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that’s applied to a vehicle’s exterior to protect the paint. Once it cures, it chemically bonds with the paint surface and creates a long-lasting, transparent protective layer.
Is ceramic coating the same as waxing or sealant?
No. Wax and sealants sit on the surface and wear off over time. Ceramic coating chemically bonds with the surface and offers much greater durability. It also provides better hydrophobic properties, longer protection, and less maintenance.
What’s the difference between your coating packages?
Standard / 5 Year — ideal for newer, well-maintained vehicles, 1 layer of 9H coating, exterior detail included. 10 Year Armor — great mid-tier option, 1 layer of 10H coating, stronger protection. Lifetime Diamond / Ultimate — multiple layers (2×10H), paint correction steps, includes glass & wheels, lifetime warranty
Q: How long does the application take, and when can I drive it?
Application typically takes 1–3 days, depending on the level of preparation and layers used. After coating, we require 24–48 hours (sometimes up to 72 hours) to allow curing before exposing the car to rain, washing, or heavy use.
How long does the ceramic coating last?
Depending on the product grade and how well it's maintained, ceramic coatings can last anywhere from 2 years up to lifetime warranties (if you follow the re-inspection or top-up schedule). Our Standard package gives up to 5 years, our 10 Year Armor gives up to 10 years, and our Lifetime Diamond/Ultimate package offers a lifetime warranty under proper car
Will ceramic coating prevent all scratches, rock chips, or swirl marks?
No coating is bulletproof. Ceramic coating helps reduce minor swirl marks and provides some resistance, but it will not fully protect against deep scratches, stone chips, or major impacts. That’s why paint correction prior to coating is crucial for best results.
Do I need to prepare the vehicle before applying?
Yes. Proper prep is essential. We perform washing, decontamination (clay bar / iron removal), and if necessary, paint correction to remove swirls or defects. The surface must be completely clean and smooth so the coating can bond correctly.
Will ceramic coating make my car immune to water spots, bird droppings, or hard water stains?
It helps a lot, by making the surface slick so contaminants have less grip. But it doesn’t make you invincible—acidic bird droppings, industrial fallout, or hard water can still etch the surface if left too long. It's best to rinse or wash them off as soon as possible.
